Spindle RPM Ratings

Many high speed spindles rate the minimum speed between 5k and 10k rpm. This is because if the spindle is run under load or for an extended period of time at these slower speeds the motor will over heat.

With the RapidChange system the spindle is only running at these speeds for a few seconds and not underload, the motor stall only lasts milliseconds.
